The FRITZ!Box 6890 LTE router allows you to use the Internet through any type of connection. You can connect to the Internet via:
- Built-in LTE Category 6 modem, which uses band aggregation,
- 4G band (maximum speed up to 300 Mbit/s),
- 3G band (maximum speed up to 24 Mbit/s),
- ADSL/ADSL2+ modem (maximum speed up to 24 Mbit/s),
- VDSL modem (maximum speed up to 300 Mbit/s with Super Vectoring technology),
- Gigabit WAN port (supports Internet speed up to 1000 Mbit/s – ideal for connecting equipment to fiber optic or cable modems).
Fast home network with FRITZ!Box 6890 LTE
The state-of-the-art technology used in the FRITZ!Box 6890 LTE ensures the fastest connections for all devices in the home or company network – also wirelessly. The router with an LTE SIM card modem allows daily use of WiFi in AC MU-MIMO standard (up to 1733 Mbit/s) and N (up to 800 Mbit)/s on two bands: 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. This means significantly better throughput than with standard routers. The FRITZ!Box 6890 LTE also features an auto-channel function, thanks to which the device itself selects the least congested, interference-free channel, thus ensuring good connection quality. If you want to simultaneously limit energy consumption, you can activate eco mode.
Security first
FRITZ!Box routers are created with particular regard for the highest security standards. Customer protection includes, among other things, a certified firewall and an advanced parental control function enabling website filtering. Establishing a secure connection to the network is possible by using 12 encrypted tunnels based on VPN IPSec technology. If you want to allow guests or employees Internet access, you can do so while preventing them from accessing other devices on the network – just activate FRITZ!Hotspot. What's more, FRITZ! router software is regularly updated – there is also an option to activate the automatic update installation function.
Telephone exchange
The FRITZ!Box 6890 LTE has a telephone exchange that allows configuring connections for analog, digital (ISDN), Internet (VoIP) telephony, and fax. Thanks to the device being equipped with an answering machine, you can listen to recorded voice messages over the Internet – the highest sound quality is ensured by HD Voice technology. Thanks to it, the voice in the handset sounds deep and natural, which is of great importance, especially in companies. Using the device, phone books can be synchronized with a Google account, which facilitates work and the creation of a Smart Home.
Router with LTE SIM card modem will help you create a smart home
The DECT base, with which the FRITZ!Box 6890 LTE is equipped, allows the device to connect with other equipment manufactured using this technology. Thanks to innovative Smart Home functions, it is possible to automatically and remotely switch the power on and off for devices connected to the network using FRITZ!DECT smart plugs, as well as constantly measure electricity consumption and temperature thanks to smart thermostats. The FRITZ!Box 6890 LTE is equipped with a USB 3.0 port – this allows you to connect external drives with a capacity of up to 4 TB. MESH - what does it really mean?
