Instant connection anywhere AVM FRITZ!WLAN Stick AC 860

What a USB Wi-Fi network card can be useful for today? With it, you can give your older laptop or desktop wireless capabilities or upgrade to the new Wi-Fi 5 standard without intrusion. The USB card is also an easy way to get Internet for guests.

FRITZ WLAN Stick

WiFi network card on USB FRITZ WLAN Stick is a miniature device, providing wireless access to the local network and the Internet to computers that do not have such capabilities. FRITZ!WLAN Stick AC 860 is a dual-band device, compliant with the new 802.11ac, or Wi-Fi 5 standard (while maintaining compatibility with older IEEE 802.11n/g/b/a technologies), and can achieve transfers of 866 Mbit/s in the 5 GHz band and up to 300 Mbit/s in 2.4 GHz. Transmission security is ensured by support for encryption with WPA2 (802.11i) and WPA.

USB WiFi network card how to connect?

The USB WiFi network card is a very user-friendly device. All you need to do is plug it into a free USB socket on your computer (preferably USB 3.0, so that the rapid stream of data can be transferred to the system just as quickly). Installation of the drivers is automatic and you don't even need any external media.

AVM's USB WLAN Stick series Wi-Fi cards also feature AVM's Stick & Surf technology, which further simplifies installation and login to the home network. In the first step, connect the adapter to the USB port of the FRITZ router!Box, which causes information about the wireless network name, encryption standards and password to be stored in the card's memory. As a result, when you connect it to your computer, you don't have to configure any more parameters - we're instantly online!

Such a solution can be a great idea to easily share the network with adventurous guests: for the time of connecting to the network, we can lend them our network card so that they can quickly and safely access the Internet and local network resources.
