Wi-Fi 6 or why you should replace your old router with modern equipment

Wi-Fi 6, the latest popular wireless networking standard, has taken hold in homes and businesses for good. Even laptops for just over a thousand zlotys already have built-in IEEE 802.11ax WLAN cards. So when buying a new router, focus on models with Wi-Fi 6.
What's the difference between Wi-Fi 5 and 6?
Wi-Fi 6 towers over its predecessor in every respect. In some cases wifi router 6 is able to develop up to 300% higher speeds, features increased immunity to interference (which in today's ether, full of neighboring wireless networks, gains particular importance), offers greater transmission security, all while consuming less electricity.
Is it worth buying a router with WiFi 6?
Definitely yes, especially if you have a high-speed Internet connection. The fiber-optic router supported by WiFi 6 will finally be able to develop its full speed, as the new wireless standard allows up to 2,400 Mbit/s in the 5 GHz band and 1,200 Mbit/s in the 2.4 GHz band.
The same is true if you have a WiFi 6 router on a SIM card, especially one that supports 5G. Although the modern mobile network is developing in practice in Poland ca. 150 Mbit/s, it should be expected to reach the target speed counted in gigabits over time.
Although, due to the limitations of access technologies, a WiFi 6 router with a cable modem (up to 1 Gbit/s), or VDSL (up to 300 Mbit/s) will not speed up the use of the Internet, it will certainly allow us to take 100% advantage of the capabilities of the link and prepare us for possible acceleration of Internet access in the future.
Keep in mind that a modern wifi 6 router has by its nature a much more efficient architecture and will noticeably improve the overall efficiency of our network, if only in terms of faster transmission between the computers on the network and the NAS drive due to increased immunity to radio interference, coming from other neighboring wifi networks to ours.
